Cardiovascular health
Whether doing Gyrotonic or personal training, we'll also focus on your cardiovascular fitness. If your preferred recreational pastime is endurance sports (marathons, cycling, triathlons), we'll work in a specific manner. But for most people, cardio exercising is something they know they need to do, and they'll suffer through it because they have been told over and over that they need to. But are you really benefiting your body with the way you're spending time on the treadmill or elliptical?

I can't tell you how much it drives me crazy to go into the gym every day and see the same people on the same piece of cardio equipment doing the same workout for the same amount of time... every... single...day. They're watching TV, plodding along, believing that they are doing what they need to for their body. Honestly, I'd love to have free reign to go over to them, turn off that TV and tell them “STOP! You're wasting your time!”

There is nothing wrong with doing your cardio workout inside, on a treadmill or elliptical. However, as I said earlier and many times, your time is valuable. Make sure you're actually using it effectively and efficiently when you're at the gym. We'll work together to find out the optimal method for your cardio workouts and follow a organized plan to make sure your body is continually getting benefit from every minute you're doing your cardio. Sorry to say, but you may not be watching too much more reality TV when on the treadmill, but you'll be watching something that is a reality for you... your heart rate. Believe it or not, it will make your workouts more interesting, not less.
